For Heart Healthy Valentine Give Organic Red Wine and Organic Dark Chocolate ♥

Submitted by Seleyn DeYarus on Sun, 02/05/2012 - 19:51

Organic chocolate and red wine made from organically grown grapes—these are the foods of lovers, shared around the world on Valentine’s Day. They are also the foods of healthy hearts, enjoyed throughout the year. America’s Best Organics reminds all valentines that when you give organic gift baskets, you share earth’s goodness with a gift that promotes healthy people and planet.♥

That’s because a growing body of research points to antioxidants in food and wine, particularly those compounds known as flavonoids and polyphenols, that have been shown to have heart-healthy, anti-aging, and cholesterol-lowering benefits. And organic foods contain significantly more of these heart healthy compounds than their conventionally produced counterparts. Research has shown that organic fruits and vegetables are 25% to 30% higher in antioxidants and other key nutrients compared to conventionally grown fruits and vegetables—and that’s no different for wines made with organic grapes, or dark chocolate made from organic cacao.♥

Antioxidants including flavonoids in red wine and dark chocolate, and resveratrol in red wine have been found to help protect the lining of blood vessels in the heart, and also help to reduce “bad” LDL cholesterol, according to research published by the Mayo Clinic and the respected medical journal The Lancet. Resveratrol in red wine is of particular interest to researchers in that it may help prevent arteries from becoming clogged with fatty blockages, and may also have other anti-aging and cancer fighting properties.♥

Among chocolates, dark chocolate in particular has the highest level of cancer-fighting and heart healthy antioxidants including catechins and polyphenols—up to four times the antioxidant levels found in tea, according to The Lancet.♥

So it should come as no surprise that we offer beautiful organic gift baskets and organic wine for you to share with your beloved. Show you care about keeping your sweetheart healthy as well as pampered on Valentine’s Day by giving him or her a wonderful organic gift basket or organic wine from America’s Best Organics. And don’t forget, we will be donating $1 from every gift purchased to the Organic Farming Research Foundation. Give more – Share Earth’s Goodness™.♥

We always wait for the valentine day as we want to celebrate it as it is the best day of our life. According to me the best way to celebrate Valentine day we should always be healthy and be in a proper condition. It is better to give to eat organic food and organic vegetables rather eating any fast food. The best gift for a valentine would organic red wine and organic dark chocolate.
